About Us
Mission/Philosophy
Our company mission is to provide high-quality custom business
software systems without the overhead of a large company. Our
philosophy is that a small group of skilled technical resources
can provide custom systems more effeciently than large organizations.
We believe in helping our customers be "educated consumers" of
information technology services. We focus on solutions which meet
business needs, rather than technology for it's own sake.
Company Background
Promethean Technologies was founded in 1997 in Ithaca, New York,
by the principal, Poney Carpenter. Although we have steadily
expanded, we have intentionally remained a small company, and
have provided services both to other small companies as well as
large corporations.
