Papers
We believe that part of our job is to help our customers
(and potential customers) to become more educated consumers
of information technology services. Clients need to be
informed of the issues regarding technologies they are purchasing
so that they can make intelligent choices and participate in the
development process. The approach where we wave a magic wand and produce
a software system will never meet the needs of the organization
and cannot be cost-effective in the long-term.
To aid our clients in becoming educated consumers without needing
to become technology experts themselves, we have planned a set of papers
which will highlight the information needed by organizations to make
intelligent decisions when purchasing and participating in systems development.
We will start posting these papers soon, so check back for more information.
The first paper, currently begin written, will be a
"Guide to Web Application Technologies", which will summarize
the components web application systems, the technogy and vendor
choices for each component, and some of the advantages, disadvantages,
and cost considerations for each choice.
